Seven of our group enjoyed breakfast at the pier overlooking the ocean.
May 11, 2013 Chino Air Museum - 'Planes of Fame'
Ten of our group had breakfast ato Flo's in Chino followed by a guided tour of the Chino Air Museum 'Planes of Fame'. We saw many World War II airplanes and other interesting exhibits.
April 13, 2013 Fish Camp Restaurant
Twelve of our group enjoyed dinner and fellowship at the Fish Camp Restaurant in Sunset Beach.
April 2, 2013 Miracle Mile Tour
Six of our group enjoyed lunch at the Farmer's Market, in Los Angeles, followed by a tour of the La Brea Tar Pits and Page Museum.

February 16, 2013 Nehtercutt Collection
Thirteen of our group travelled to the Nethercutt Collection in Sylmar for a guided tour of a fantastic collection of vintage automobiles, antique musical orchestras and furnishings, and a train car that the wealthy of early 1900s travelled in. We later enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant.
January 26, 2013 Autry National Center
Eighteen of our group visited the Autry National Center near Griffith Park for a guided tour of the museum with many exhibits depicting early California history.
December 16, 2012 Dinner at StoneFire Grill
Seventeen of our group enjoyed dinner at Stonefire Grill before the 'Jazz4Jesus' Big Band Concert at church.
December 11,2012 Dessert Potluck and Christmas Carol Singalong
Fifteen of our group met to enjoy dessert and sing Christmas carols.
December 2, 2012 Christmas Joy
Sixteen of our group enjoyed a wonderful Christmas musical play, 'Christmas Joy', at Bethany Church in Long Beach. The story was set in Gettysberg during the Civil War where a family, divided between North and South, came together to celebrate Christmas.

Eleven of our group enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Woody's in Huntington Beach.
October 26, 2012 Fall Potluck and Game Night
Fifteen of our group enjoyed a potluck dinner with games to follow. Fellowship Hall featured festive fall decorations.

Seventeen of our group enjoyed a wonderful musical performance at the Pluumer Theater in Fullerton.

Nine of our group enjoyed a delicious breakfast and fellowship at this wonderful family bakery.
August 11, 2012 Rancho Los Alamitos
Thirteen of our group spent a warm beautiful day on a guided tour of the ranch, home, and gardens at Rancho Los Alamitos on Bixby Hills in Long Beach. We learned of the rich history of the land and occupants from Native Americans to the Bixby family. We enjoyed a wonderful catered lunch in the gardens.
July 6, 2012 Pot Luck, Ice Cream Social, Game Night
Twenty of our group enjoyed an evening potluck with ice cream followed by a variety of games.
June 9, 2012 Muzeo Museum
Twelve of our group visited the Muzeo in Anaheim. We viewed Dead Sea Scroll fragments, ancient Biblical artifacts, and the history of handwritten and printed Bibles. We had a demonstration of a replica of the Gutenberg printing press. The printing press was the most important invention in history because it allowed the comman man to read the scriptures and led to the education of the common man.
May 19, 2012 Omlette in a Bag
Eleven of our group had a gourmet breakfast and fellowship at the home of Shirley and Roy Ellis. Featured was a unique way of preparing "omlettes in a bag".
May 5, 2012 SS Lane Victory Ship
Eleven of our group toured the SS Lane Victory Ship docked in San Pedro. This Merchant Marine ship was built near the end of World War II and carried cargo to the Korea and Vietnam war zones. It also made one trip to evacuate over 6,000 refuges from North Korea to excape the approaching enemy. After the tour we had lunch at a nearby restaurant.
April 28, 2012 San Juan Capistrano
Sixteen of our group visited Mission San Juan Capistrano. We had the fellowship of travelling on the church bus. We had a docent guided tour of the mission on a beautiful day. We enjoyed lunch and strolled through the interesting town of San Juan Capistrano.
March 31, 2012 Pageant of Our Lord
Sixteen of our group travelled by church bus to the Pageant of Our Lord presented by Rolling Hills Covenant Church. Inspiring Christian art with living models was presented accompanied by a wonderful choir and orchestra. We then enjoyed lunch at the Olive Garden restaurant.

Eighteen of our 55 Alive group visited the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda on President's day. There was a special presentation by Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt.

Twenty of our 55 Alive group enjoyed a potluck dinner in Fellowship Hall. A speaker from CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) gave an interesting talk on Emergency Preparedness.

Sixteen of our group enjoyed an inspirational night at Calvary Church in Santa Ana with this well known singing group. 'Ernie Haas and Signature Sound' has performed with the Bill Gaither Homecoming events.

Twenty four of our 55 Alive group travelled by church bus to the Green's for salad, to Cheryl Stephens for tri-tip and garlic chicken, and to the Herin's for dessert. We had a wonderful time singing old gospel hymns with Peni Wintersole accompanying on the piano.

Eight of our 55 Alive group visited the beautiful Descanso Gardens. We enjoyed a tram ride through the gardens.
February 26, 2011 Reagan Library
Twenty-four of our 55 Alive group visited the Reagan Library for a guided tour including Air Force One, President Reagan's grave site, the Oval Office, a section of the Berlin wall, and a travelling exhibit of a minature replica of the White House. There were other special exhibits celebrating the 100th birthday of President Reagan.

Eighteen of our 55 Alive group enjoyed a potluck and game night at the church.
December 3. 2010 Christmas Fantasia, Vanguard University
Twenty-two of our 55 Alive group attended a Christmas music program presented by Vanguard University's Music Department at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. Ralph Carmichael, noted arranger and composer, and TV personality Ed Arnold participated in the program. Student musicians, which included orchestra, choirs, jazz ensemble, barbershop quartet, and vocal soloists, performed traditional and contemporary music.
November 5, 2010 Western Theme Potluck
Thirty-four cowboys and cowgirls participated in a shindig with good food, games, and entertainment by 'The Rounders' western music and a line-dancing demonstration. The fellowship hall was decorated with western gear and cowboy props.
October 16, 2010 Fullerton Civic Light Opera Company
Twenty of our 55 Alive group attended the world premiere of the production - 'Jane Eyre, the Musical'.
September 11, 2010 Lyon Air Museum, Santa Ana
Thirteen of our 55 Alive group toured the museum where we saw vintage WWII airplanes (B17, B25, A26, C47 and others), cars (including Hitlers bulletproof parade car), jeeps, and motorcycles (American, German, and Japanese). We enjoyed lunch afterward at Stonefire Grill.
August 28, 2010 Ice Cream Social & Visit With the Kerin's
This 55 Alive event was held at Cheryl Stephen's house and was attended by 26 participants. We enjoyed loads of ice cream, toppings, and a presentation by the Kerin's of their experiences in Siberia.

Ten of our 55 Alive group enjoyed a concert by the Orange County Concert Band at the beautiful Central Park in Hungtington Beach. The concert was part of an 11 concert summer series in the park sponsored by the Huntington Beach Concert Band.
June 19, 2010 Casa Romantica, San Clemente
Nine of our 55 Alive members visited Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, the historic Spanish Colonial Revival estate of San Clemente founder Ole Hanson. It is perched on a bluff overlooking the San Clemente pier bullt by Mr. Hanson. We enjoyed lunch on the pier at the Fisherman restaurant.
May 22, 2010 Sherman Gardens, Corona del Mar
Nine of our 55 Alive members enjoyed breakfast and toured the gardens along wide brick walkways, with blooming seasonal flowers and bubbling tile fountains.
April 17, 2010 Flower Fields, Carlsbad
Seventeen of our group had a guided tour of the Making Music Museum and followed that with a wagon ride and walk through the 50 acres of flowers in Carlsbad.
April 10, 2010 Cruise Ship Tour and Lunch, San Diego
Nine of us went to San Diego (some by train and some by car) to tour the cruise ship Oosterdam and enjoyed a delicious lunch on board the ship.

Ten of our 55 Alive group saw an inspirational presentation of "living" reproductions of famous works of art. We ended our day with dinner at the Olive Garden in Huntington Beach

Twelve of us had a good time of dinner and fellowship.

Thirteen of our group enjoyed a gorgeous day at the Getty with famous works of art, tranquil gardens, dramatic architecture, and breathtaking views of the city below.
