As an independent church, Calvary Baptist Church of Huntington Beach is fully supported by the offerings and contributions we receive. Worship services, Sunday school, midweek youth programs, outreach, pastor and support staff salaries, facilities maintenance, utilities, and all other needs are funded entirely through the generosity and faithful giving of the Calvary family.

Why give?
The practice of every member giving regularly to support the church dates back to the days of God’s covenant with the people of Israel. In Old Testament times, tithing was considered a first responsibility. The first tenth, known as “the first fruits,” of every person’s income and possessions belonged to God. The choicest of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God. (Exodus 23:19) Likewise, in the New Testament, giving to the local church was considered a basic need to support the work of telling the good news of Jesus Christ.

Giving options

Sunday Services
For your convenience, we offer designated numbered envelopes for your regular giving (simply request a box on your Registration Slip). Or you many use the ivory colored general offering envelopes available in the pews. Simply place cash or checks (payable to Calvary Baptist Church) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering plate during the service.

Online Giving
We have added online giving as an option for you to make your contributions to Calvary. Either for one-time or automated recurring contributions, online giving is easy, secure, convenient, and benefits both you and CBCHB.

Automated giving is the easiest and most effective way to give:
  • IT'S EASY TO SET UP. Create an account and select your payment method and when you want your contributions to happen.
  • GIVE ON YOUR SCHEDULE. You may choose to have your gift automatically deducted from your checking or savings account or you can use your debit card to give one-time, weekly, monthly, or semi-monthly (2x).
  • IT'S EASY TO ADJUST. Login and update or change your payment method, schedule or contribution amount.
  • YOU WON'T FORGET. Automating your giving helps you stay faithful to honoring God with your finances.
