Calvary Baptist Church & You
Calvary Baptist Church is committed to providing a variety of discipleship opportunities to everyone in the Body of Christ; from Adult Bible Study classes to fully accredited undergraduate level courses in biblical studies, theology, and ministry. We also provide scholarship funding for qualified undergraduate students; as well as, for men who are interested in pursuing an education in full time pastoral ministry at the graduate level.
Adult Bible Study Every Sunday Morning 9:00am - 10:00am in Room 208 10:30am - 11:30am in Room 108
* Membership classes will also be offered on Sunday Mornings and Tuesday evengings once every quarter. Sunday morning classes will meet for one hour over six weeks; alternating between the first and second service hours. Tuesday evening classes will meet for two hours over three weeks from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. every night. Specific dates for thses classes are pending. The Huntington Beach Bible Institute (HBBI) in cooperation with Calvary Baptist Church offers fully accredited undergraduate level courses in Theology, Biblical Studies, and Pastoral Ministries. Registration for the Spring 2013 semester is now open. Classes will begin January 14 & 15, 2013. HBBI will be offering two classes this Spring: Systematic Theology and Old Testament Survey: Part 1. Both classes are fully accredited, undergraduate level three-unit courses that will be taught by CBCHB Associate Pastors, Jason Gannon (TH) and Dennis Davies (OTS). Pastors Gannon and Davies hold Master of Divinty degrees from The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, California. Classes will meet one night a week for seventeen weeks on Mondays (TH) and Tuesdays (OTS) from 7:00pm to 9:30 pm. Registration forms are available in the church office or here. CBCHB Lending Library The Lending Library is open on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30pm to 4:30pm and on Sunday mornings from 8:30AM to 12:30PM (except during services). The 2012-2013 Partners in Education scholarship application process is officially closed. Contributions for the 2013-2014 school year are now being accepted. Inquiries should be directed to Pastor Dennis.
Pastoral Internship Program
The Pastoral Internship Program provides scholarships for men interested in post-graduate studies at an approved seminary or Bible college. We currently have several men participating in this program. The program provides funding, internship opportunities, and personal discipleship for men who have been called to serve God in full-time pastoral ministry. Inquiries should be directed to Pastor Pat.
