Calvary Connect – June 2024
Erika Lewis

Dear Calvary Family,

As we head into June, I’m reminded from our exploration of Ecclesiastes that “for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (3:1)

Like many of you, Su and I are looking forward to slightly different rhythms of life, when our kids are out of school for a couple months. We look forward to more space to read, rest, and get away for a few days over the summer. But I’ve learned that just because school or work rhythms change, it doesn’t mean life automatically happens on its own. Setting expectations, and having an intentional plan helps our family culture thrive. I think that’s true of all of us.

Do you have a plan during the summer months?

The Preacher of Ecclesiastes has been reminding us, that intentional living honors the Lord. Maybe your plans include rest through a vacation, or putting that certain book back on the summer reading list, or spending more time with friends. It also means planning to invest in your spiritual growth too. I’d encourage you to lean into some of the rhythms we have in place at Calvary this summer. In addition to our Sunday gatherings, be sure and take note of some of these easy ways below, to stay connected and fellowship.

In the meantime, I hope you will continue to join us on as we work through the book of Ecclesiastes. See you Sunday!
